Or just toss the little baggies right into the big outdoor can like I do. I know what you mean about the Texas heat... to be honest, I haven't pooper scooped for a week cause there's just no way I'm going to spend that much time outside! :Phappypitbullhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03607831951903607541noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6157552425979434455.post-45935344266148161402009-06-24T17:52:31.292-05:002009-06-24T17:52:31.292-05:00I was going to suggest what the Army of Four did -...I was going to suggest what the Army of Four did - ask Steve and Kat about the doggy dooly system as they have one. We also have clay soil and it could not absorb fast enough with the additional poo. They do make bigger systems though which are great if you have sandy soil and could probably handle the two dog poop problem.
Now we bag some of it up, and use some to fill holes around the yard to deter re-digging there. I just put it in the large city supplied bins which go out once a week so the gross-out smell factor doesn't get that bad.Laurenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15449449576340553377noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6157552425979434455.post-28251693282595203942009-06-24T10:38:46.816-05:002009-06-24T10:38:46.816-05:00Well, I am obviously not large, but this is what O...Well, I am obviously not large, but this is what Old Girl does for my poops. She just scoops and tosses in the regular trash--taking it out frequently. Also, though, we live in an apartment, so the trash-dynamics are perhaps different in a regular house. :P Good luck, and stay cool in this Texas heat!Fredhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08890658087498483243noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6157552425979434455.post-1918704802169490292009-06-24T10:08:00.240-05:002009-06-24T10:08:00.240-05:00I used to poop near the house and the humans would...I used to poop near the house and the humans would pick it up and put it in the trash. Now I've said this before, if you don't have a pile out there you don't exist.

So now I poop far from the house (but still on my property) and never in the same place twice. Some times the humans find it when they are on the large loud grass shortening machines and it sticks in the tires. (*snark*) Then they spread it around for me and I get like a hundred spots outta one pile!

My sister, the pig, poops in the same place and they pick it up and put it in a bucket with a lid so I don't eat it. It's collected every week by the binmen and then we clean it out with Jeyes Fluid (strong disinfectant) to keep it from smelling.

Also, Clive gets two large tablespoons of natual yogurt mixed in with his dry food every evening which makes his poo a lot easier to pick up - always nicely formed - and less smelly. For the most part mine are pretty small and I do them on walks or on the deck so they get flushed like Checkers.
