It's Pawty Time

Addie was invited to her first Yappy Birthday Pawty!

It was our friend Jet and Coal's Birthday, along with some other new friends as well. Addie was surrounded by sweet dogs and friendly people. Some, BIG sweet dogs! One in particular was a Great Dane that was not quite one year old yet. Addie didn’t know what to make of her. She had never met a horse before!

The pawty was held at PetsWest. They have a large fenced in area for pawty goers to stretch their legs. Addie, who can be shy in some instances, would explore for a little while and then hide behind her dad. She is such a daddies girl! Addie was brave in meeting her new found friends though, and with some coaxing even ventured into the swimming pool! Pretty funny stuff!

By the end of the pawty Addie was getting used to socializing with her new pack. Jet’s generous dog parents, Carolyn and Matt, thought of everything to make this pawty extra special! They even gave Addie a treat bag to take home, and one for her big sister as well. Zoe isn’t a pawty animal.

Special thanks to Carolyn and Matt for inviting Addie, and introducing us to their very nice furry and non-furry friends.

  1. It looks like Addie did so well in socializing. That's tough meeting so many big dogs at once. The retriever was a hoot, hogging the pool. Glad you all had a great day!

  2. Oh, it looked like fun! I bet you had a splendid pawty! But may I ask, what is that Dobbie trying to do to you in the beginning of the video? So funny!

  5. That looked like a fun party. Once Addie got used to all the dogs it looks like she had a great time.
They all liked that pool by the looks of it too.

Danes are so big, i remember when Holly first met one, it is the only breed that she was not so sure about at first. I think she also thought it was a horse! lol.
