Tornado Watches Already?

I don't believe that I will ever get use to the weather in Texas...

Dangerous severe weather outbreak
Tom Moore, Sr. Meteorologist, The Weather Channel
Feb. 10, 2009 8:33 pm ET
A significant risk of severe thunderstorms, including tornadoes will extend eastward from Oklahoma and northern Texas to Arkansas and Louisiana through the overnight hours.
The area at risk extends from southeastern Kansas and southern Missouri southward through eastern Texas and Louisiana. The main threat of damaging storms and tornadoes exists over eastern Oklahoma , northeast Texas (including Dallas-Ft. Worth), Arkansas (including Little Rock) and northwest Louisiana.
Later on, an intense squall line is forecast to develop over northern Texas and ride eastward across north-central and central portions of the state.
Severe weather will continue to expand and accelerate overnight, sweeping through southern Missouri, Arkansas and Louisiana. The violent storms should be crossing the Mississippi River by dawn.
Residents in the projected path of the thunderstorms should monitor weather events very closely through Wednesday. This is a dangerous situation.

Hold onto your hats dear friends, cause the bad weather is coming!

  16. Look where it is all headed... OHIO!!! We are getting this yucky weather today. The ground is so wet from all the snow that has melted and the trees are broken from the ice storm we just had - we are afraid we are going to lose power again. Not fun!

  26. We are a bit north of you in northeastern Kansas, and we agree, those tornado warnings scare us too. February seems so early for this destructive weather but it HAS been a strange winter.

    Stay safe.
