Camera Critters - Bones

What dog doesn't like bones? Ours LOVE them!

Here is Lucie showing you how she would get a treat when she was younger.

As she has grown, we have moved the bones to a level that she can't reach so that she is not receiving too many treats.

Here is Lucie... no problems there.

Here is Addie... does she look fat?
Weighing in at 73 pounds our vet said that Addie is overweight!
So this week we have all started a diet. Well, except for Lucie.

Lucie consoling Addie with her paw on her back.

Lucie rubbing it in that she still gets her treats and Addie gets none.
It's a good thing Addie is a good sport about this!

Visit lots of furry creatures at Camera Critters and join in on the fun!

I get one! This morning I buried one of the ends in the khorner of the kitchen!

Maybe Addie just needs to do the greenbean diet fur a while...that will help her drop a few pounds!

    Hoppy Friday!

  3. Hi friends,

Addie does not look fat to us at all. Mommy said she is perfect as is Lucoe but she says the doctors know best. My sister Samantha was fat too during the winter becuase she didn't get outside much but during the spring and summer she got slicker becuase of all the exercise she got.

Glad you liked reading about Fuzzy. I wish I could have met her.

    Have a happy Easter...{{{huggies}}}...Mona

  4. Yep, Addie doesnt looks fat to me. But since the vets says she is overweight, maybe she could go out for more walk to shed off the excess weight!

  7. Aw, Addie! That's not fair! Maybe you could just get a tiny piece of a treat every time your sister gets one.

    Happy Easter!

  11. Oh dear! Poor Addie! We don't think she looks fat at ll. Isn't 73 pounds normal for a dog her size? Even Tommy weighs 57 and he's quite a bit smaller! NOT FAIR!!!

  13. Addie has to start a diet? To me, both Addie and Lucie are in good shape.
Hope the diet food is still yummy and...generous portion so she won't be hungry.
    I miss you two princesses.

  15. Addie, you might like to know that I am on a diet too., My Mom says I got chubby this winter when it was too cold to walk or too icy. She has cut down my kibble to 3 forths a cup and I get a new treat thats very tiny made of chickens.
I don't like vegabuls and won't eat green beens or karits. Don't like them in my mouth. So I know it is tough but we can maybe get slim for summer! How many pounds do you have to lose?

    Kisses,
    Stella

  18. You know Stella... my mom was so shocked when our vet said that I needed to lose weight that she didn't even ask. She immediately put me on the scale and said no more treats and I'm watching your food.

Since I go to doggy daycare at my vet, they keep a close eye on me. I guess that is the only disadvantage to going to daycare.

Our vet said that he should be able to feel my ribs and he really had to search to find mine, so we just may play it ear right now.

The funny thing is, I run all the time. I go to day care at least three days a week and we started our walks again. I guess I need to run even more now! BOL!

We can do this together Stella, I know we can!

    Lots of Luv & Kisses
    Addie and Lucie

P.S. I don't like carrots either. They are for rabbits!

  21. Poor Addie! Maybe you could have half a treat?
Fortunately, we're all on the thin side of perfect body mass, as per our vets. We look fluffy, but it's all about the coat!

  22. Mom always feeds us less kibble if she knows that extra treats will be served on that particular day! Dieting is very hard to do! We do feel for you, Addie!

    Love ya lots

  30. Beautiful dogs - I can't see the excess weight... but if the vet tells you something it's good to pay attention.

It's not easy to cut back the food. I wish you all the best with the weight loss effort.

  31. Poor Addie, I hope they at least give her the treats when you are not around!! I don't think you look fat at all but I haven't seen the side view. ;) Anyway, you looks as beautiful as ever!

  32. Awww poor Addie. She really is a good girl about it. Too bad they don't make Milk Bones Lite.

When Beauty was fat, Mama just gave her a couple of kibbles and she was happy. Or maybe Addie would like apples.

Anyway, she doesn't look fat at all - she's just beautiful. Lucie too. Wow, she's growing up so fast!
