I'm not sure how accurate the first weigh in was for Addie so we used a different scale at our vet office today. My guess is that she has lost a few pounds. Cutting back on treats and increasing her exercising has really helped!
Keep up the great work everyone! And we would like to send a special thanks to all of our supporters! With your help we are going to get healthy!
Tip of the Week
Do something special for your pooch this week. Give them a massage! During Lucie's puppy class, we learned how to stretch and massage her. It is relaxing for your pup and gets your dog use to being touched all over which can be beneficial when visiting your vet. If you have never done this before, please check out this informative article at dogtime.com called Dog Massage.
Sometimes you lose and sometimes you gain. As long as you are feeling OK with yourself. That massage sounds like something the crazy old bat should learn.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Addie!
ReplyDeleteYou were the Biggest Loser this week!
You all are doing a good job!
Go! Go!
Kisses and hugs
Lorenza
congrats on the weight loss Addie - the massage thing is good for doggies - every night mommy massages all 4 of my pays and gives me good ear rubs - this makes it much easier for me at the vet and when I go to the groomer because I'm used to being touched there - we learned this trick in obedience school......unfortunately I did not do so well with the obedience thing! Hey I'm cute - I don't need to be obedient.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Addie!
ReplyDeleteI'm still a fatty :( I blame Mum though BOL
Big licks to you

Hi Addie,
ReplyDeleteOur om likes to massage us too but the only problem is that Hershey does not want her to stop and will keep rolling over or prodding mom's hands to make her continue with the massage! LOL!!
We are busy catching up with everyone after our weekend away.
ReplyDeleteSimba and Jazzi xxxx
Suzuki is going the wrong direction! hehehe

My Mom learned that massage thing in my Obedience Shool, too...she doesn't use it nearly enough...
Abby xxxooo
Good job to everyone for trying whether you lost weight or not. It's hard for a dog to turn down a treat. My girl says I'm way too bony so feel free to send your extra treats to me so you won't be tempted :)
ReplyDeleteTail wags,
Domi
Keep up the great work efurrypup. Don't worry about going the wrong way Suzuki, sometime you need to go backwards a bit afore you can go forwards.
ReplyDelete~lickies, Ludo
I emailed you my weight. =) and going to go check out how to get a massage. Mom massages my paws and legs sometimes and I love it.

To all the pups, congratulations on the weight lose....
ReplyDeleteI can say Holly loves a massage,
that is what nanny's are for?
Try stroking the coat the opposite
way, they love it..:-)
Oh my feasting! Cutting back on FOOD? Oh no!
ReplyDeleteI have the opposite problem - I don't keep on enough weight. It's part of the reason for my special diet. Without it I whither away to nothing. SO NOT beastly!
Good luck with your challenge!
Suzuki seems to be going the wrong way. Great job everyone!
