Hailey's Owie

Hailey got scratched last Saturday. We are not sure how but it was not healing well so we went to our vet.

Since she has been licking at it, we have had to leave the cone on which she is growing tired of. While shopping this morning I saw a little dog shirt and thought, maybe that would cover the scratch enough and it worked! So while we are with her she can wear her shirt and get a rest from the cone.

Yesterday my husband and I took a little road trip in our new car to the Catfish Plantation. We have a blog post if you would like to see pix from our haunted trip.

It was another hot one today. We stay in doors mostly during the day when it's hot. At 7 p.m. it was down to 101 degrees.

The girls don't like the heat. Maybe we will find a good place to swim for next weekend!

We hope Hailey recovers quickly. Wishing you a cool breeze too. We thought it was hot here but not in the hundreds. We're more thankful than ever for our cool ocean breeze and marble floors.

Hailey - poor you! But glad to hear that you can ditch the cone for a bit with a t-shirt when your parents are watching. And in such dreadful heat! Horrible - hope the wave breaks soon.

awwh ! we sure love the shirt idea better =) hope Hailey feels better soon ..

When Crystal got spayed, her vet put a gown on her instead of the cone. Crystal couldn't lick at all when it was on .. she sure loved it better than a cone ;)

Ahhhh Hailey, I hope your owie heals soon! I got one too at my Mom and Dad's wedding. :( I thought they were leaving me when they walked away so I pushed through the crowd to get to them knocking someone off balance and when that person's foot came down it landed on my toe. OUCH! It's not too bad though.

That Catfish Plantation sounds fun and the food looks yummy! :)

Kisses,
Nala

We're having the same problem with Dozer! But his owie is on his foot, so he has to wear the cone. (I considered booties but he pulls them off too easily.) Hope Hailey is better soon.

This heat's terrible, eh? Star had to skip agility class yesterday; it was 103 when we would have been out on the field. No way.
