Lucie Update

We had been waiting since Tuesday for the evidence to show itself from Lucie's indulgence of the Whoppers. I can only estimate that she ate a good 30 little mini packages of Whoppers. She has been acting fine and finally at around last night the party started...

  • 9 p.m.Wednesday some wrappers started showing up in her poo but it wasn't much
  • At midnight she threw up, but again it was only the tiny bit of food that she has been given
  • At 4 a.m. she threw up two more times a bunch of wrapper
  • Around 10:00 a.m. on Thursday wrappers were discovered on the couch and on the floor. Here is the gross part. After she threw up, she ate the food but left the wrappers.

Lucie with a portion of the wrappers from Thursday morning.

Through all of this Lucie has been acting like she was not sick at all. I can't even imagine how uncomfortable it must have been to have all of those plastic wrappers in her stomach. We are hopeful at this point that all of the wrappers are out of her tummy and that the rest are making there way out the other end.

Tonight I am looking forward to a vomit free evening of sleeping the entire night!

For our friends out there that may not be familiar with Whoppers they are a malted milk ball.

This is the fun pack which is what Lucie ate. There are 3 to 4 balls per pack.

After Addie's training session Lucie let her know what she thought about being left in the house.

  1. Dear Lord in Heaven! NO WAY! She ate all of those? Lucie, you are a Ranger wannabee. He has PICA and eats all sorts of things that he shouldnt. I can only imagine the pain that causes in their tummies. Like when Ranger ate the teddy bear. I sure hope the whoppers make a easier journey than Honey the bear did.

  2. I'm not sure, but I think this might fall in the TMI category... I really didn't need to know that she ate them again after throwing them up. Yuck. Stick with the kibble Lucie!

  7. It is always better to get out what shouldn't have gone in, at least that's what we think. But next time, don't go for the chocolate, not a good thing. Check out the donuts or cookies☺

  8. Amazing how much she actually ate. We are so glad that a little vomiting is the worst you had - it could have been so much more terrible.

We loved the video, especially when little Hailey poked her nose in too.

  11. No more Whoppers or gel packs for you Miss Lucie!!! Hopefully it's all out of your system now! Were you cleaning Addie's teeth in the video?? I like to do that to my doggie friends. :) That is too cute how little Hailey jumps in and starts showing you all who's boss! ;)

    Kisses,
    Nala
