Our parents went to Vegas and all we got were baths!

It has been 2 years since my husband and I have taken a vacation. Typically, we would go to Vegas at least once a year to try our luck and have some fun. This vacation was long overdue. Since our oldest girl is only a year and a half, they had no idea what they were in for.

We boarded the girls at Family Pet Care. They have a large empty office that they use as a suite which would fit Hailey's pen and the two big girls. Basically, we spared no expense for them to be comfortable.

With Hailey's pen the three girls could play during the day and Hailey could sleep in her pen at night with the big girls in the room with her.

The girls were not happy to see us leave. Lucie tried to dig her way out through the drywall next to the door. :(

While in Vegas we stayed at MGM Signature. It was ok. I would not stay there again. I don't know why some hotels feel the need to pump in smelly perfumes into their lobbies and rooms. It was about a mile and a half walk away from the strip. OK, maybe it was not that far, but to my feet with no good walking shoes, it sure did feel like it! We were not very lucky during this trip, but we had great food and a wonderful time!

The sunrise view from our room on the 36th floor.

One of the attractions that we visited was Siegfried and  Roy's Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat at The Mirage I saw the wonderful slide show that the Army of Four did with a new slide show program so I gave it a shot for our pix from the habitat.

The girls were very happy to see us when we picked them up on Friday! They were all nice and clean which lasted a little less half a day. Saturday morning I saw Addie across yard rolling in something. By the time I got over to her something was all over her neck and it had a smell like you would not even believe! I couldn't find anything in the area to clean up so I took Addie in for a mini bath which only partially removed the odor. When we went back outside, Lucie was kind enough to locate the smell and rolled in it too! After her mini bath I went to the area and just dug up the dirt. Hopefully the rain washed it away this evening.

Our Happy Girls!

  11. Yep, I get baths too (or showers) whenever I roll in something delicious. Humans have absolutely no appreciation for the finer aromas!

All your pictures are really cute, girls!

  16. Ha, we also just got back from Vegas, our first vacation without pooches in 10 years! It was my first time, a lot of fun. Mostly hung out by the pool and saw the sights. Broke even and I consider that winning big!

  19. A clean dog only lasts for so long - until they find out that they don't smell like they used to which to them was PAWfect! Nice to find out that you had a good time☺

  21. "And just dug up the dirt." LOL! That's the fastest, most direct way to deal with it... and I would never have thought of that.

Looks like a really cool trip to Vegas! I've never been. :/
