Lucie and Can Anyone Help Bubba?

So, Lucie is not 100%. We had hoped that the Rimadyl would do the trick. It did help her get some of her playfulness and good attitude back but she is still have trouble getting up with her back legs. I'll be calling Dr. Johnson today.

-------------------------------------------

I saw this post from Pawsitively Texas on Facebook and it is breaking my heart even more! It's like looking at a Cocker Spaniel version of Addie!

LAST DAY TODAY TUES 11/17 - PLEASE HELP SAVE HIM ...

His family of 12 years left him locked their house when they moved out! This sweet face!! WHAT is WRONG with people!!!

Please view his video here.

Name: Bubba
File Number: 20809
Breed: Spaniel mix
Gender: Male (current on rabies vaccine)
Age: 12 years old
Size: Medium 30-35 lbs
Okay, this is about the saddest thing we've heard - this beautiful dog's owners moved out of their home and left their 12 year old dog behind. This is the saddest because this is a truly wonderful dog. He IS SO SWEET. Beautiful. Luckily he was found by a realtor who quickly called us for help in finding him a new home to call his own but his luck is running out - his last day is tomorrow. Please, won't you help? He just needs a place to live out his last few years with love. He is a sweet gentle boy who seems to like other dogs and to be a very loving pet. He is a great dog who needs a great home. Be sure to talk to Joe at the shelter (be sure to ask for him) - Due to Bubba's age they probably won't require a neuter, but please discuss with Joe. Watch his video by following the link http://www.petfinder.com/petnote/displaypet.cgi?petid=15066373
He's hoping you will come meet him and take him home ...

  4. We feel equal parts of fury and sadness at reading about Bubba. There should be jail sentences for people like that, or at the very least, they should be put in stocks in the town square (or the mall) so people could throw rotten tomatoes at them.

We're also sorry to read that things are not yet quite right with Lucie. Hang in there!

  7. Sorry to read that Lucie is not 100% right!

That was the most horrendous story about Bubba. How people could do that is just totally unbelievable.

    take care

  10. Hope Bubba gets out! He does look like Addie! I can't say what I think and keep my dignity on here! I made a donation to East TN Bloodhound rescue tonight for Tiny Tim, an owner surrender bloodhound that was supposed to be up to date on his shots and weighing 140 lbs. When rescue arrived he was HW positive 61 lbs! and living in a pen full of rats eating on him! I wish I could give Bubba his last years, but I can't take them all. I have a 12 yr old that I promised to go get at rescue if I lose one. I had her transported from Arkansas to TN. Her owner died and his daughter wanted her euthanized, but the vet pleaded for two weeks to find her a home. She looked so much like an old version of Bonnie I had to do something. Sorry for the rant, it's been one of those days. Was here to check up on Lucie. I'm thinking about you all.

  13. Lucie, I am hoping so hard for you to get better!!!(((Lucie))).

The story about Bubba kills me, Mommy wishes she could adopt all the animals like that. It makes her so mad that people can be so mean and stupid.]
