Saturday was a bad day for Lucie. She had no energy at all. Walking out to the back yard seemed to take all of the strength that she had. Addie was very sweet and would bring her a toy and lay with her in the yard.

I have to tell you that Addie did steal that stick from Lucie, but I gave it back to her.

Lucie resting in one of her favorite spots in the yard.

This illness has been confusing Hailey. You can see that Lucie wants to play with Hailey but that she just doesn't have the strength. That's ok because Hailey enjoys snuggling with her just as much as she enjoys playing with her. These are from last night.

Today, I believe Lucie is feeling a little bit better today! She actually walked around the yard and explored for about 10 minutes before resting this morning. She even went over to one of the digging holes to help Hailey. She quickly realized she was not ready for heavy digging but moved a little dirt around. The best thing that happened this morning, she actually came into the kitchen and waited for breakfast while I was getting it ready for her. She has not shown that type of interest in food in a few days but she is eating ok. (I had been taking her meals to her where ever she was.)

I took these pictures below this morning after their mini playtime outside.

Hailey's head is not much bigger than Lucie's paw!

Hailey is giving me the, "put the camera down" look!

I would be beside myself!! I've been reading the updates-and I agree, it's difficult to think the ears and her ability to get up are related. But what do i know, i'm not a vet!!

I hope Lucie is feeling better today!! I smiled when I saw the pictures of hailey and Lucie! How sweet is that!

We're keeping our fingers and paws crossed!

It's weird, my cousin Cesar--a white German shepherd is having the same problems. No one can figure out the problem--he eats only a little, very listless. All blood tests are normal. they are taking him to a holistic vet--they have friends who had good luck with this vet. We hope that she will feel better soon and you can figure out what it is.

Poor sweet Lucie looks so sad. Maybe it is going to take some time for the new meds to help her. Today may have been the starting sign of it helping. Big hugs and good thoughts from here for Lucie - we feel like we know her so well even though we have never met her. Hoping for a better week.

Hugs and good wishes to your three, particularly Lucie who's feeling under the weather. Here's hoping that Hailey and Addie have their buddy back in high spirits soon. I wish her illness wasn't such a mystery. Is it possible she has been shot with a pellet gun or something along those lines? Spider or snake bit?

Thank you for all of your comments!

Bandit, it could be a spider bite. There are a lot of bugs in our yard but we have never had any issues with ticks. With all of her fur there would be no way to find tiny bite marks. We are not ruling anything out at this point. We have not found any unusual insect marks on her outside of the Vasculitis.

Thank you so much for your concern everyone! Although we have not met most of you in person we feel like we know all of you very well!
