Square Foot Garden: Ten Weeks - HOT, HOT, HOT

With 100 degree temps for several days now, watering has become essential to our garden.  We'll probably need to water every 2 days now.

Hailey doesn't care for the heat.

Ahhhhhh... that's the stuff!

Yummmmm

Refreshing!

Keep up the good work Ron. I'm going in the house.

Our flower has shown the most growth this week.

Along with our cucumbers and corn, the tomatoes are still staying strong and our potatoes are almost ready to be harvested.  I'm thinking this week on the potatoes, we pushed aside a little bit of soil and found some down there so we're pretty excited.  We just want to make sure we don't jump the gun and harvest too early. I'll probably take one or two and set them aside for replanting later... sustainability!  lol.

  1. The garden is doing great! Wish we had some temperatures like that to encourage our potatoes! All we're getting at the moment is rain!!

  3. I wish it was hot here, today was very chilly.

I've enjoyed watching your garden grow. I'm not very good at taking care of them so I just enjoy everyone else's.

  4. Garden looks great. We tried to tell Mom and Dad that we were in the garden to protect it. After Dad put up fences to keep us out he found critter damage.

  5. The heat & sun will make the fruits grow I think. Good to know your tomatoes are still doing good. Do take pictures of your potatoes. Would love to see what home-grown potatoes look like.

  8. It is looking good, I bet that sun is really helping with the growth.

It is so nice eating foods you have grown yourself. :)

We hope it has cooled down a bit over there now for you.

Have a great weekend and let us know how those potatoes taste!

PS - Yep I agree can't wait for HP to come on again. It sure was nice wandering around those cloisters! :D
