It's been a very long two weeks.
We were lucky and the surgeon had an early morning cancellation so she was moved up to the first surgery of the day.
Her TPLO surgery was a complete success. She came through it great! She had completely torn her ACL and partially tore her meniscus. Armed with pain meds, we were assured that she would be as comfortable as possible through the night. Although, I had been warned from day one that the first night is the worst and that if we make it through the first night we would be good. We were given the opportunity to have the surgery at a surgery center where she would stay overnight the first night but I would rather have her home where she knows she is safe and sound.
Mom would have wanted me home too, Addie. We are always most comfy in our own bed and in our own house among those we love bestest.
