Oh Lucie...

Do you ever get the feeling that you are losing what little control you have in the world around you? I had that feeling today when my husband sent me an email at work stating that Lucie had gotten into a big bag of Whoppers and went to town!

This bag was half full of mini packs of Whoppers. Lucie pulled it off of a counter and only left a few in the bag.

Lucie was nice enough to consume the majority of the Whoppers entirely leaving only a few behind as evidence.

I immediately called our Vet. Doctor Johnson is so kind and patient with me regarding each dilemma that I present to him. He said that given her size and the fact that there is not much milk chocolate on these, that Lucie should pass these no problem. He said to watch her for any change in behavior and to be ready for some vomiting and diarrhea. Perfect, I have not had enough of that recently.

Lucie has clearly reached her adolecent stage. She is challenging us and Addie a bit more. But she is still the sweetest pup around! Shhhh... don't tell Addie or Hailey I said that.

Last night my husband commented on how Hailey reminds him of the Doxie from the cartoon 2 Stupid Dogs. I found this picture which fits our recent events perfectly. With a few minor changes, Lucie and Hailey have brought the cartoon to life.

What will they eat next?

  15. Hmmm.. pups.. what do you do with them!! Hope that Lucie's tummy didn't give you (or her) too much problems!

For the record, Hershey's ate the leather off the dining room chairs, part of the decorative partion in the house, one rubber squeaky ball (the ENTIRE ball), the sleeve of dad's T-shirt... etc.

  18. Hahaha! Great picture! Meanwhile, I hope Lucie is OK with the Whoppers. When I was a baby puppy I ate an entire bag of those York pawpermint patties. YUM! Old Girl freaked out, but I was A-OK. No die-uh-rear even.

  20. One time Tucker got hold of an entire bag of foil-wrapped dark chocolate cherries and ate the whole thing. Fortunately he suffered no ill effects other than sparky multicolored foil-laced droppings for a day or two.

  23. Hopefully Lucie will process everything fine.

That is why all things remotely edible are kept in the food safes at our house. I don't countersurf but Brice is an expert at it.
