Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Nope, it's not a dream. This pic was from our snowstorm in February. I feel cooler just looking at it!
Hailey's paw print is inside of that bowl. This is one of my favorite pix.
Dealing with 100 degree temps for 33 days now, I have run out of different ways to keep the pups cool which means walks happen very early in the morning and rest of the time we are in the house enjoying the AC.
In celebration of our 500th post, share with us how you are keeping COOL this summer and you could win a Kool Dogz ice treat maker!

Woooooooooooooohoooooooooooo!
This is a refreshing post! Great thinking. I don't think we've hit 100 yet, still we are HOT for here. Since this is a small town, we are basically without concrete, which allows it to cool down after dark. Thankfully we've hit a cool spell. It's only 62 this morning and our expected high is down to 86. I'm hoping we had our August in July. Fingers crossed. Stay cool!
ReplyDeleteHap-Pei 500th Post!
ReplyDeleteHmm, we keep cool with the help of our friend A/C. We take walks in the early morning or later in the evening and my personal favorite, I lay down on cool ceramic tiles after my walks. Ahhhhh.

ReplyDeleteWe are in our coldest day of winter here in Sao Paulo, a whopping 51F! But since we are accustomed to real winters in Canada, this is t-shirt weather for us hahaha

Happy 500th post! I don't even know how many I've done, I never pay attention.
ReplyDeleteToday is rather overcast so I think I'm gonna bookmark this post and come back to it on a really hot day to cool off. lol
I WANT that Kool Dogz kit so I'm gonna see if I can come up with a post. My boys don't do much to cool off except to come in the house with the air conditioning but I'm gonna work on it.
Wow, congratulations on 500 posts!
ReplyDeleteWe could use some of that snow here in Colorado... we're setting records every day with this heat wave. I miss the snow for sure.
Stay cool and here's to the next 500 posts.
Wow!! That snow looks so cool!! Oh how we wish it was freezing here. Mommy had to park on tghe roof in the parking garage tody and she said never again even if she has to go in 30 minutes earlier to get a good spot.
ReplyDeleteMommy only lets us go outside at 5 am when she gets up and after it gets dark at night and then it's still to hot to stay out long. Thank goodness we know how to us the pee pads.

ReplyDeleteWow..500 posts..that's amazing. Was just blog hopping and found you. We keep cool with a pool and spray hose. Simple but works and of course AC..LOL
ReplyDeleteAlthough we haven't been in the 100's every day, we have been having an extremely hot and humid summer in minnesota this year. It's been hard to keep the dogs busy with other activities since we are also in the AC a lot.
ReplyDeleteWe take late evening walks on the weekdays and morning walks on the weekends. I also set up the dog's kiddie pool which they really seem to enjoy. Thank God for kiddie pools!
We also had one string of days at the lake and have another few coming up in a few weeks. I'm beginning to think the AC will be on until winter!
Stopping by on the blogger hop. Stay cool!
P.S. Your dogs are beautiful!!!
While it hasn't been quite that hot in our neck of the woods, Skye thinks anything above 80 is waaaayyyy too hot. Luckily, she just discovered swimming and it's her new favorite way to stay cool. Parker has always enjoyed a dip in the kiddie pool to cool off. Fun idea!
ReplyDeleteHi Y'all,
ReplyDeleteWe escaped the worse of the heat by coming to the mountains.
That was some neat pics of the snow! Reminded us all why we like summer...heat and all.
Y'all come by now,
Hawk aka BrownDog
Hi Again!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting our blog!!
To answer your question Maggie is a registered Golden Retriever but instead of being gold she is white!!
Happy 500th post!
ReplyDeleteOMD...do you know how much my brother Bokeh would love that prize? We were at an event for mom's rescue and the people at Mutts and Co had like 4 of these in front of their booth (which was right next to us) we couldn't keep Bokeh away from it. haha.
Hmm..how are we keeping cool? We are keeping cool by staying inside on the AC vents (we love laying on them and not sharing the air with mom and dad). We also go swimming and have our swamp coolers to keep us cool. We are going to do a post with video (if we can find one) for you tomorrow for the extra entries as well.
Have a great weekend.
and here is our post for you. :)

What great ideas! We get pretty hot here too, in San Diego, and any idea helps!!! We love going to dog beach to cool off plus nothing beats swimming in the ocean. At home we like frozen doggie ice cream and sometimes even a human popsicle or two!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your 500 post!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteMy girls don't have to keep cool as our summer hasn't really hit us yet here in Seattle.
Saw your blog on Sagira's site, so I thought I'd stop off to congratulate you on your 500th post!! I've never seen snow... what an awesome way to keep cool! :)

ReplyDeleteAs much as I dislike the cold, I wouldn't mind some of the white stuff right now.
ReplyDeleteWe are keeping cool by running up a 400 dollar plus a/c bill. Sigh... As long as the boys are comfy we are good though!
