My Girl, Lucie

Our vet was back in the office and we got the first available appointment on Tuesday for Lucie. He prepared us for the worst speculating on things that could cause edema including possible cancer. It was a sobering conversation that just left me in tears. He recommended that we take her to the MedVet ER in Dallas since they have  the best internists and the head internist is the one that actually found Lucie's birth defect when she was around a year old. On our way home we received a call from MedVet who said that The Parc had secured an appointment with one of their internists for Wednesday. It was a blessing!

But for today, we focused on giving Lucie the BEST!

She enjoyed a lovely walk and then lots of time outside with the girls.

As we relaxed in the yard, our feral cat Gypsy caught Lucie's attention and Lucie trotted after her ending up near one of her favorite hiding spots where she quickly nestled in. Gypsy had other ideas and the two enjoyed some fun time together.

The winter storm killed off most of the leaves on the vine but it's slowly coming back.

My gorgeous girl!

Lucie is not able to jump on the couch any longer due to her issue with her back legs so Ron lifted her up so she could snuggle in her favorite spot. Hailey is always close by making sure her Lucie is ok. Praying they are able to find a way to help Lucie.
